Product Description (Food-grade Alginate)
Food-grade alginate is a natural anionic polysaccharide extracted from brown seaweed. As a high-performance food additive, it features excellent thickening, stabilizing, gelling and film-forming properties. It is tasteless, odorless, non-toxic and fully compliant with international food safety standards (e.g., FDA, EFSA)
In food processing, it can be used as a thickener in sauces, soups and dairy products; as a stabilizer in ice cream to prevent ice crystal formation; and as a gelling agent in jelly, pudding and plant-based seafood. It is also a preferred ingredient for low-calorie, vegetarian and clean-label food formulations due to its natural origin and biodegradability.
